air traffic management

The world’s largest remote tower centre
Currently, 14 airports are managed from Avinor’s operations center. The contract includes the management of a total of 23 airports. The system is ready for multi-airport operations, allowing operators to control up to 3 airports simultaneously. The company Indra has provided the air traffic management (ATM) and communication systems.

Boosting airspace efficiency
The air traffic management (ATM) system for Norway’s area control center is being digitalized, providing Avinor with a state-of-the-art solution developed as part of the iTEC collaboration. This system improves punctuality, reduces fuel consumption, and lowers CO₂ emissions.

Safe landings at 45 Norwegian airports
We are the preferred supplier of ground-based air navigation systems (ILS) and pioneers of the world’s first GPS-based landing system (SCAT), providing reliable air navigation in harsh climatic conditions and ensuring safe and efficient operations even in extreme environments.
