Fare collection equipment based on the Station 4.0 model

Description of the project
7723000013 – Acquisition and installation of fare collection equipment based on the Station 4.0 model for the closure of the Metro network as part of the ongoing Accessibility and Modernization Plan
This initiative is part of the technological modernization and accessibility improvement process of the Metro network. The project includes the progressive replacement of existing gates with new intelligent equipment in different stations, within the Accessibility and Modernization Plan.
In total, the installation of 418 fare gates is planned, as well as the incorporation of QR readers in one unit of each bank of gates, expanding validation options for passengers. To date, 386 gates have already been installed, and full deployment is expected to be completed before the end of March 2026.
The new equipment enables validation both at entry and exit and accepts multiple access media: transport card, mobile devices, QR codes, and contactless bank cards. They also incorporate information screens, light signaling, and acoustic alerts that improve the user experience, enhance accessibility, and optimize passenger flow in station concourses.
This initiative contributes to a more digital, modern, and efficient network, aligned with the objectives of technological transformation and improvement of public transport.
