Commitment to the SDGs

Technology is a key lever for transforming the world

At Indra Group we contribute to sustainable development through technology

We have incorporated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoted under the 2030 Agenda, into our business strategy. Technology is essential to achieving the SDGs. For this reason, we develop technological solutions to address society’s social and environmental challenges. We are committed to creating technology that puts people at the centre, respects their rights, and protects the environment.

How we contribute to the SDGs

We have an impact on goals that promote sustainable development

We integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our business strategy, developing technology that drives social and environmental progress.

Sustainable mobility

We improve road safety and promote more efficient, environmentally friendly mobility. Through intelligent transport management and the use of technologies such as AI and big data, we help significantly reduce CO₂ emissions, both on roads and railways.

Energy transition

We accelerate decarbonisation by supporting energy companies in their shift towards more sustainable models. We apply technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data to optimise energy use, integrate renewable sources, foster electric mobility, and move towards a low-carbon economy.

Sustainable cities

We contribute to more efficient and resilient cities through solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data. We help improve urban transport, emergency management, and safety, while optimising waste management and promoting eco-efficiency.

Digital transformation

We drive the digitalisation of key industries — healthcare, financial services, public administration, industry, and consumer goods — through the development of solutions that create value for people and promote inclusive, sustainable growth.

Areas of action

We contribute to sustainable development through corporate policies

People

We promote stable, quality employment, equal opportunities, and professional development. We foster diversity, design career and training plans, and ensure safe, healthy workplaces.

Environment

We act responsibly to reduce our carbon footprint and waste, drive renewable energy, manage water efficiently, apply Green IT, and ensure continuous improvement through an environmental management system.

Local development

We contribute to the progress of the communities where we operate, creating local jobs, collaborating with nearby suppliers, and driving social initiatives aligned with community needs. In addition, we practise responsible taxation, and our Code of Ethics ensures our business respects the environment.

UN Global Compact

Ethical management in the face of global challenges

We support the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

We have been signatories of the United Nations Global Compact since 2004, and each year we demonstrate our ongoing commitment to its Ten Principles for responsible business.
