Always operational
ISO 22301-certified strategy designed to withstand disruptions and restore services rapidly.
Business continuity
Indra Group demonstrates its commitment to business continuity through the ISO 22301 international certification awarded by AENOR, which confirms that it has a business continuity management system with strategies, solutions and recovery plans for business services in the event of potential disasters such as natural disasters, armed conflicts, fires, pandemics or cyberattacks.
Aware of the importance of ensuring business continuity for its customers, Indra Group has established a Steering Committee as its highest decision-making body. In the event of a disaster, the Committee is responsible for deciding whether to activate the business continuity plan and for overseeing the decisions derived from it until services are restored under their original operating conditions.
Fundamental pillars
- People protection
The protection of people becomes the highest priority in the event of a disaster. To support this objective, investment is made in staff training and preparedness through regular simulation exercises to ensure employees are equipped to respond when required. - TI assets
The IT assets involved in backup solutions must meet business requirements in terms of recovery times and minimum service capacity. - Proveedores
Awareness and continuous training in Information Security across all stages of employment aim to ensure that all company personnel understand their responsibilities in relation to Information Security and the importance of protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information handled, both our own and that of our customers. - Locations
The locations hosting primary and backup IT services, as well as the workplaces of operators and business users, form an integral part of the business continuity strategy and recovery planning framework.
It is worth noting that the Business Continuity Management System is integrated with the Service Management System certified under the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. Below, we briefly describe the benefits provided by the Service Management System, a key element on which the Business Continuity Management System relies.
The service management system supports the service lifecycle, covering all its phases: planning, design, transition and delivery.
As part of its strategy, Indra Group Information Systems relies on the Service Management System to achieve greater control over services. By standardising their management through defined processes, the system enables their measurement and facilitates the objective identification of potential improvements.
Service management
The Service management system focuses on the following objectives:
- Customer focus: to deliver high-quality IT services that help meet customers’ current and future needs while providing added value.
- Competitive advantage: to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT service delivery, support, reliability and availability, which is expected to have a positive impact on IT service costs, service quality and Indra Group’s reputation.
- Process-based service management: facilitating organisation and coordination between service support, operations and delivery teams through the establishment of a common language.
- Compliance with legal requirements: ensuring the review of and compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to the organisation.
- Improving services through the implementation of a measurement culture: facilitating decision-making based on the analysis of data provided by IT service management tools, while seeking alignment between IT service objectives and the organisation’s strategic objectives.
The service management system supports the lifecycle of a service, encompassing all its phases: planning, design, transition and delivery.
