SCEPTER: European Multifunction System Concept applied to Communications, Electronic Warfare and Radar

Description of the project
SCEPTER seeks to develop a multifunction RF system capable of integrating radar and electronic warfare into a modular, standardised architecture, combining advanced antennas and high-efficiency technologies to reduce spectrum consumption and meet strict size, weight and power requirements on airborne platforms. It addresses the technological challenges associated with the development of a multifunction AESA panel—including array design, the implementation of advanced TRM modules, and the integration of a digital hardware solution capable of supporting simultaneous radar and electronic warfare functions—and follows a dual strategy: strengthening key capabilities in Europe to ensure technological autonomy, while incorporating commercial solutions when they offer advantages in terms of cost and schedule.
Industrial partners

Indra´s rol
Indra Sistemas S.A. plays a central role in the SCEPTER project, being responsible for technical coordination, defining the multifunction RF system and developing key technologies needed for the final demonstrator based on AESA antenna. Its participation combines technical leadership, industrial capabilities and direct contribution to the design, validation and integration of the main functional blocks of the system.
