Project description

The specific objective of the project is to develop a wind simulation model disturbed by terrain and ground obstacles that can be integrated into a helicopter simulator, to allow realistic training on helicopter maneuvers near the ground.

Indra´s Role

Indra covers the whole project development, being its main tasks as follows:
  • Definition of characteristic wind scenarios affected by ground disturbances for helicopter training.
  • Calculation of disturbed wind on these scenarios through CFD methods.
  • Calculation of algorithms for real-time injection of terrain disturbed wind data in helicopter simulators.
