Gerd Hunno Philipps

Country Director Indra Germany

Gerd Hunno Philipps was appointed director of Indra Germany in July 2025, with the aim of strengthening and expanding the company's presence. Building on a solid presence in air traffic management and defence and aerospace technologies, the Indra Group is committed to expanding its capabilities in this country.

Gerd began his military career in the Bundeswehr, training as a paratrooper officer and concluding his military service in NATO. After leading the aviation and weapons systems team in the German Ministry of Defence's consultancy, he led business development for Rheinmetall Defence's protection technologies in Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Italy. In 2016, he joined Indra Group to lead defence and space business development in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
