Indra Group's corporate headquarters achieves LEED Platinum certification, the highest international distinction in sustainable building management

Indra Group has achieved LEED Platinum (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for its corporate headquarters facilities in Alcobendas, Madrid, the highest rating granted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which certifies buildings with the highest standards of sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental performance internationally.

Indra's headquarters has obtained this distinction under the LEED v4 system for operation and maintenance of existing buildings, a key, high-level version of this standard, consolidating its position as a benchmark in sustainability within the technology sector and as an example of leadership in the building transformation and operation model.

Among the measures that have contributed to achieving this maximum certification are the building's high level of energy efficiency throughout the year, water savings, the optimization of air conditioning and lighting systems, the use of more efficient technologies, the monitoring of consumption and the application of advanced criteria for sustainable operation and maintenance.

The building also incorporates measures intended to improve indoor environmental quality and promote sustainable mobility, thus reinforcing a healthier and more efficient work environment aligned with the most demanding international standards.

"Achieving LEED Platinum status at our headquarters is the result of a sustained effort over time, aimed at continuous improvement and involving an in-depth review of all our operation and maintenance processes, incorporating best practices to achieve the greatest efficiency and protection of the environment. Obtaining this certification demonstrates Indra Group's commitment to the well-being of its professionals, specifically to the more than 7,500 people who work in the building, but also to society and the environment," said Laura Saralegui, Head of Sustainability at Indra Group.

This recognition is part of the company's strategy to move towards an increasingly sustainable real estate portfolio, which includes, in addition to the corporate headquarters, obtaining LEED Platinum certification for another of its centers in Alcobendas and LEED Gold certification for the Indra Group headquarters in Barcelona.

Commitment to sustainability and positive impact

Obtaining LEED Platinum certification takes on special relevance in a corporate headquarters such as Indra Group's in Alcobendas, as its impact extends directly to thousands of professionals who conduct their daily activities there. In addition to contributing to the reduction of operating costs and resource consumption, this milestone tangibly reinforces the company's ESG strategy and provides credibility and confidence to customers and investors. In this way, the building is consolidated as a real example of applied sustainability, based on measurable facts and good practices, not only on claimed commitments.

With this new recognition, Indra Group reinforces its position as a technology company committed to operational excellence, sustainable development, respect for the environment and social commitment, and reaffirms its leadership in the adoption of international standards that promote a more responsible growth model.
