Nuek, a technology company belonging to Minsait (Indra Group) and Visa, a global leader in digital payments, and that specializes in payment infrastructure, have announced a strategic agreement to accelerate innovation in payments in the mobility and fleet sector.
Thanks to this collaboration, Nuek is joining the Visa Ready for Fleet program as a certified partner and issuer. This will enable it to provide forecourt operators and mobility companies with the opportunity to launch Visa Fleet 2.0 card programs in a streamlined and scalable manner. Visa Ready for Fleet combines access to Visa’s global network with advanced spend control, analytics and operational optimization tools.
A comprehensive solution for a changing market
The agreement will meet the growing need for digitalization, flexibility and efficiency on the part of fleet operators and fuel retailers[1]. In this regard, Visa Ready for Fleet brings together the key partners required to start up a comprehensive fleet management program, including issuers, processors, spend control tools, sustainability solutions, Visa Fleet 2.0 payment technology, and so on.
Within this ecosystem, Visa provides the payment technology and its global network, while Nuek contributes its card issuance capabilities and technological integration, enabling customers to deploy comprehensive personalized solutions to suit their needs.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nuek to the Visa Ready for Fleet program”, declared Eduardo Prieto, Visa’s general manager in Spain. “Its expertise in innovative payment solutions, coupled with Visa’s global network and advanced data capabilities, will provide a solid foundation for developing modern and scalable solutions that bring great value, not only to companies with fleets, but also to key sectors such as energy, oil and gas and leasing”, he added.
“With this partnership”, explained Enrique Álvarez, Chief Growth Officer at Nuek, “we will accompany Visa in the process of modernizing payments for fleets while providing a unique distinctive edge, namely the combination of our issuing capabilities with a comprehensive payment platform that unifies issuing and acquiring functions in a single environment. We’ve already transformed payment management in highly complex sectors throughout Europe. In the hydrocarbons and energy sector, we now operate with key players and we have a consolidated presence that endorses our execution capacity. This enables us to bring a robust and scalable proposition to the European market, one that combines spend control, the instant issuance of cards and advanced analytics. It also positions us as a technological partner capable of simplifying complex matters and speeding up the digitization of mobility”.

- Reduced risk of misuse, thanks to advanced control technology.
As for drivers, who currently use up to five different payment methods[3] (including their personal cards), they will benefit from:
- A single solution for all on-road expenses: fuel, maintenance, tolls, etc.
- Instant issuance of cards for emergencies and specific needs.
- Elimination of manual expense receipts through the digitalization of the entire process.
A strategic step towards transforming the payment experience
For Nuek, this alliance with Visa constitutes a strategic step as it strives to transform the payment experience in key sectors such as mobility. By joining the Visa Ready for Fleet program, Nuek will bring not only issuing capabilities, but also a robust technological platform that streamlines payment management for fleets, integrating automated spend control, the instant issuance of physical and virtual cards, and advanced analytics.
With a solid track record in Latin America and an approach focused on integrating physical and digital methods, Nuek contributes to a more efficient, inclusive and scalable mobility ecosystem, bringing to the European market a proven proposition that connects technology, proximity, and operational efficiency.
