Human rights
A system aligned with global human rights frameworks
Our due diligence system is based on the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
In addition, our reference frameworks are the International Bill of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration, and the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, of which Indra has been a signatory since 2004.

Human rights
Updated policy for more proactive management
In 2020 we updated our Human Rights Policy (available at the bottom of the page) to align it more closely with our risks and enable more proactive management to address them.

Impact evolution

Our due diligence includes the identification and prioritisation of the direct and indirect impacts of our activity on human rights.
We monitor results through periodic impact assessment updates, establish indicators, and participate in working groups, organisations, and multistakeholder forums to gather trends and expectations.
For these assessments, we rely on advice from external experts such as the UN Global Compact.
We identify priority issues for Indra and our stakeholders by involving the people responsible for the business.
We prioritise risks and opportunities based on context, company strategy, and our stakeholders — especially the most vulnerable (women and people with disabilities).
We assess both direct and indirect impact.
Our commitment
Process integration
We integrate human rights management into our processes and establish lines of action on priority issues, so that:
- Responsible areas
We identify the areas responsible for human rights management (human resources, compliance, information security, etc.). - Professionals
We include human rights as part of our professionals’ training through courses on ethics and compliance, privacy, or bias and discrimination. - Risk map
We include human rights risks in the company’s risk map.
Monitoring and reporting
Grievance mechanism
Through our Direct Channel, anyone can raise questions or report any irregularity or infringement related to our activities that affects people’s rights.
All communications are handled in accordance with the principles of confidentiality, respect, thoroughness, privacy, and security, with full respect for rights and guarantees in the process — both in the analysis and verification of communications received and in the resolution and, where appropriate, adoption of corrective measures.
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
At Indra Group we have a zero-tolerance approach to child labour and forced labour, and we are fully committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our operations and across our supply chain.
We have taken concrete measures to address modern slavery, as set out in our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement (see below).
